Welcome to the Nebraska National History Day Registration -
If you are looking to register for the Hastings District Contest on the 26th of February - you have come to the right place! You will register here if you are a teacher (or the student's parent or guardian that is sponsoring their entry). Teacher Registration Guide
Attention Teachers! If you are participating for the first time, you will need to contact the state office at firstname.lastname@example.org BEFORE you try to register in order to have your school added into the system. Schools that participated in the 2019 contest year are in the system. If you are unsure, please check the list below to see which schools are currently in our system.
Aurora High School
Hastings High School
Hastings Middle School
Red Cloud Junior/Senior High School
Sandy Creek High School
Teachers need to have a completed registration prior to any students registering. Once registered, the account will remain active in the system from year to year unless requested otherwise. If you have forgotten your password, you have two options: there is a “forgot my password” automated option; or you can email email@example.com to have your password manually reset by the state office.
Student projects can be associated with only one teacher in the registration system; however, all co-teachers should create their own individual account and list all co-teachers when prompted during the registration process. It is suggested that students select only one teacher for all entries from the classroom/school. The district coordinator will adjust teacher listings for awards ceremonies and press releases for all co-teachers.
Information required of teachers: gender, address, phone number, and email address to create an account. Additional information is asked but not required.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact your district coordinator, Dr. Rob Babcock (firstname.lastname@example.org), or the state office (nebraskanhd.org).
Include a second email that is not associated with your school email. Updates that are sent as a mass email are sometimes rejected by school accounts and you may need to be contacted after school is out if your student(s) qualify for the National Contest.
